UNFPA Business Continuity in Rwanda

calendar_today 17 March 2020

The Representation of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, Diplomatic corps and consular missions as well as all United Nations Agencies and International Organizations accredited to the Republic of Rwanda and takes the opportunity to inform the Ministry and all diplomatic missions and government departments that UNFPA Rwanda has initiated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP) effective March 16, 2020 in response to the current risks presented by the Covid19.  Among other measures UNFPA staff will be telecommuting from home and we are restricting meetings and large gatherings. The BCP is informed by guidance received from the Government of Rwanda, the World Health Organization, and UNFPA Headquarters.

UNFPA office will endeavor to continue operations as usual and has provided information to our partners and service providers on how they can communicate with the UNFPA during this period.

The Representation of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, Diplomatic corps and consular missions as well as all United Nations Agencies and International Organizations accredited to the Republic of Rwanda, the assurances of its highest consideration.
