Combating Technology-Facilitated GBV in Rwanda – 16 Days of Activism 2024 - Car Free Day
From November 25th to December 10th, Rwanda joined the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. This annual campaign aims to raise awareness and advocate for the elimination of violence against women and girls. This year's global theme is "Towards 30 Years of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action: Unite to End Violence Against Women," while Rwanda's national theme is "All for GBV-Free Families" (Twubake Umuryango Uzira Ihohotera). During this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, MIGEPROF in collaboration with UNFPA, will join hands to highlight the emerging threat of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), a form of violence that leverages technology to harm, abuse, or exploit individuals.
